On November 6 at the College Board Forum in Washington, DC, representatives of Maguire Associates, Samford University and Loyola Marymount University will lead a session called “Retaining Students Before They Enroll: Tying Retention to Initial Aid Offers.”
Because boosting student retention is a mainstream priority for colleges and universities, higher education consultancy Maguire Associates is joining two of its long-term clients to present strategies and suggestions for using financial aid to set students up for success before they arrive on campus. Presenters will show attendees how Maguire Associates worked with two different institutions to factor first- and second-year retention into their enrollment goals and used retention goals to inform their financial aid discounting models.
