Maguire Associates is based in Concord, MA and is a premier research-based consulting firm that serves the education industry. Since our founding in 1983, we have served more than 600 private and public colleges and universities, secondary schools, educational consortia, educational service providers, and government organizations focused on education.

Maguire Associates is offering an 11-week paid internship this summer, and we’re looking for talented people who crave learning new skills and aren’t afraid to take on new challenges. As an intern, you will get to work with a variety of our staff, while supporting real projects that will help our company grow and our clients succeed.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is curious about the world and finds it easy to walk into a room and make some new friends. Someone who has interests in education, quantitative research and statistical methods, and has proficiency in Microsoft Office and a quantitative statistics package like SPSS, SAS, or R, among others.

You will learn a great deal about higher education, market research, and statistical analysis. You will also learn how to work in a professional environment and have ample opportunity to network with department leaders and other professionals in the higher education field.

Details

The position begins June 5 and ends August 11, but we can extend it for another week, if needed. You’ll be expected to work 32 hours a week and be paid $15/hour ($4800-$5280 in total). Our offices are located about two miles from the Concord station on the Fitchburg line of the MBTA Commuter Rail. Most folks find it easiest to get to us by car. We have free parking, with a nice cafeteria and a fitness facility on site.
