Martin Reber
Special Consultant
Martin serves as a special consultant for Maguire Associates in the areas of student recruiting, retention and enrollment technology, solutions and services. He is an expert in admission, enrollment and retention solutions, constituent relationship management, messaging and collaboration, business intelligence and performance management for higher education. He was previously Executive Director for Enrollment Management at SunGard Higher Education, where he co-created the Banner Enrollment Management suite. Among his technical achievements, he is co-inventor of “Systems and Methods for Assisting an Educational Institution in Rating a Constituent” (US patent pending). Martin has been a frequent presenter at AACRAO-SEM, NACAC, EDUCAUSE, AACRAO, ARUCC, SETA, SunGard Summit, and other conferences on enrollment and technology issues. Prior to joining SunGard, Martin was Senior Product Manager for IBM Lotus Software, Senior Program Manager at Unisys Corporation, and an independent educational consultant. Martin holds a M.B.A. in entrepreneurial management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; and a Bachelor of Arts in social and behavioral sciences from The Johns Hopkins University. He is Pragmatic Marketing Certified (PMC) and completed the AACRAO Strategic Enrollment Management program. Martin is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling, past member of the Bryn Mawr College Parents’ Council, and The Johns Hopkins University National Alumni Schools Committee.
