In addition to her involvement in a broad range of consulting engagements, Linda heads up the strategic modeling line of business at Maguire Associates. Linda also serves on several boards, including as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Sea Education Association, an off-campus program for college students, and as Vice President of the Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of MetroBoston. In her free time, Linda enjoys reading, puzzles, international travel, horseback riding, waterskiing, and weekends on Sebago Lake in Maine.

  • Branding Presentation: Maguire Associates' President Kathy Dawley addressed members of the Association of Jesuit Colleges & Universities on branding and marketing strategies at their higher education leadership seminar in May.
  • Early Admissions: Chairman Jack Maguire discussed the latest developments in college early admissions policies and practices in The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education Magazine’s article, Changes in Early Admissions:  Good or Bad?”
  • SAT Optional: Jack Maguire and Senior Consultant Jonathan Epstein were both recently in the news with comments on the SAT Optional movement in selective undergraduate admissions.  Jack was featured in CNN.com’s More Colleges Move toward Optional SATs and Jonathan's work was cited in The Chronicle of Higher Education's Wake Forest U. Joins the Ranks of Test-Optional Colleges.” Jonathan's research paper, "Behind the SAT Optional Movement: Context and Controversy" was also recently selected for publication by the NACAC Journal of College Admissions.
  • New Trustees: Kathy Dawley has joined the Board of Trustees at her alma mater, Regis College in Weston, MA.  Jack Maguire became a member of the Board of Trustees at another Massachusetts institution, Lasell College.
  • UK Pricing Strategies: Senior Consultant Sarah Parrott and Associate Vice President for Research Robert Mirabile presented their paper, "How Much are Your Students Willing to Pay?" at the UK-IR conference, “Exploring the Hinterlands: Mapping an Agenda for Institutional Research in the United Kingdom.”
  • The Chronicle of Higher Education: Jonathan Epstein was featured in a Chronicle article on Davidson College’s decision to eliminate loans from its financial aid packages.  
  • European IR Forum: Vice President for Research Operations Tara Scholder and Executive Vice President Linda Cox Maguire will discuss best practices in student satisfaction and retention research at the 30th Annual EAIR (European Association for Institution Research) Forum in Copenhagen, Denmark, in August. 
  • Upcoming Conferences: Maguire Associates will be exhibiting at the NACAC National Conference in Seattle from September 25-27 and at the AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education in Chicago from November 16-18.
