Tara Scholder

Tara brings fifteen years of experience as a researcher and consultant with educational institutions to her projects.  She has worked with all types of colleges and universities throughout the country and draws from that breadth of experience to help institutions advance their institutional marketing, branding, competitive positioning strategies, enrollment management practices, and strategic planning.  Tara’s research expertise includes a thorough knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies with all higher education populations, and she is well versed in advanced statistical techniques.  She also draws practices and knowledge from her training at Boston University where she completed a M.B.A. with a concentration in marketing.  Most recently, Tara has done work for the University of Michigan, the University System of Georgia, the University of Delaware, MGH Institute of Health Professions, College of Mount St. Joseph, the Institutes of Technology Ireland, and Catholic University of America.  Tara is a regular presenter at higher education conferences, such as the American Marketing Association Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education, EAIR (European Association for Institutional Research) Forum, ACT Enrollment Planners Conference, National Association for College Admission Counseling National Conference, and AACRAO’s SEM Conference.  Prior to joining Maguire Associates, Tara worked as a Research Project Manager for The Marketing Workshop, a full-service marketing research and strategy firm located in the Atlanta area.  She also has a bachelor’s degree from Bard College.  Her personal interests include travel, antiquing, and gourmet cooking.
