Student Satisfaction/Retention
Maguire Associates was initially retained by Willamette University to conduct research among prospective undergraduates. The course of our relationship with the University led to us partnering with leaders in the student life arena to develop a student satisfaction study in the spring of 2000 (and to conduct market research for the College of Law the following year). The intent was for the study to meet the assessment requirements of the re-accreditation process, while also providing a baseline for measuring changes in student opinions as new programs and facilities were introduced to campus over the years. The on-line survey was customized to address specific areas of importance to Willamette, such as multicultural experiences, community outreach, athletics, and residential structure. The results have been used to guide policy changes in the student life area. Four years later, a survey based on the original was conducted on campus.
