Jessica McWade
Executive Vice President
Jessica directs the company’s KnowledgeWorks practices, which include its predictive modeling and quantitative and qualitative research portfolios. She also serves clients in leadership and organizational development, strategy development and strategic planning, and brand strategy and messaging. Jessica is the Publisher & Editor of the company’s “thought leadership” platforms such as the Insights for a Challenging Economy newsletter. Before joining Maguire Associates, she led McWade Group for 10 years, providing strategy, leadership, and message development services to the higher education, corporate, and non-profit markets. Jessica was previously Vice President, Corporate Affairs & Communications for Raytheon; Director, Corporate Communications for Textron; and Director, Corporate Affairs for BankBoston. She also served as interim Vice President of Marketing at Simmons College as well as Deputy Press Secretary to the Mayor of Boston and photographer to the Governor of Massachusetts. Jessica is a doctoral-degree candidate (ABD status) in leadership and organizational development at The George Washington University. She is past president of the World Affairs Council of Boston and a member of The Council on Foreign Relations, overseer at the Sea Education Association (SEA), founder of the Creative Economy Council of New England, and has served on many boards. Jessica was appointed a Fellow to the Salzburg Seminar (Austria), served as a British-American Fellow (Northern Ireland), is an alumna of the LEADBoston Program, and attends the annual Renaissance Weekend in Charleston. She has studied at the Aspen Institute, Omega Institute, St. John’s College in Santa Fe, University of Iowa’s Writers’ Workshop, and University of Wisconsin Writers’ Institute. She is also a Commander (Retired) in the U.S. Naval Reserve, having undertaken numerous military and diplomatic assignments around the world. Jessica was graduated from Boston University (B.S.), New York University (M.B.A.), and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government (M.P.A.). She also attended The Stockholm School of Economics on an International Management Fellowship and taught speech and debate at Simmons College. Since her arrival at Maguire Associates, she has worked on projects for Capital University, Cornell University, LIM College, MCLA (Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts), Saint Louis University, Simmons College, and the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
